所谓的“除妖”，即是把由于某些缘由而从原本应在的“隐世”来到“现世”停留的妖怪们送回“隐世”这一工作。某天，被妖怪附体的高中生·芦屋花绘，依靠偶然发现的联络方式，来到了专门除妖的物怪庵，在那里的是一脸不高兴的店主安倍晴斋。由于某些缘故，芦屋就这样以物怪庵奉公人的身份开始工作……安倍与芦屋的除妖组合和妖怪们的物语就此开幕。
