　　导演多明尼克·劳伦斯·詹姆斯1976年出生于蒙特利尔。他从小演戏，年轻时萌发了对电影制作的兴趣。16岁时，他去纽约学习表演，编剧和导演。后来又因此去了亚特兰大和洛杉矶学习。他的生活背景和想象力使他对电影有了独特的看法。
