在2012年8月27日发售的《月刊Comic alive》10月号上发布了《温泉物语》将要广播剧化和短篇动画化的消息。动画由因《侵略！乌贼娘》、《Campione弑神者》而被人熟识的制作公司Diomedéa负责，此次短片动画将与广播剧CD于2012年11月28日同捆发售。
