　　罗伯特·“鲍勃”·惠勒（比利·加德尔饰），一名中年离异底特律弹力袜制造商，在一次心脏病发作后无可救药地爱上了负责照顾他的尼日利亚裔心内科护士阿比绍拉·阿德班博（福拉凯·奥洛沃福耶库饰）。尽管阿比绍拉起初并不感冒，尽管两人背景迥异，鲍勃仍旧下定决心要为赢得美人芳心使出浑身解数。

　　Showtime预订根据Frankie Shaw的15年短片所开发的10集喜剧《单亲辣妈 SMILF》，Frankie Shaw在这部半自传喜剧中负责编剧﹑导演﹑制片及演出，Lee Eisenberg﹑Gene Stupnitsky及Michael London亦为执行 制片。这部喜剧背景在波士顿，讲述一个20多岁的单亲母亲Brigette（Frankie Shaw饰），在她的身份下对关系﹑性爱﹑职业各种不同的碰撞。

　　In the wake of Eamon Cunningham’s death, the Kinsella family is thriving.
