上一季完结时，Vic已经已经到了绝境的边缘；由于Shane需要亚美尼亚黑帮的帮助，全盘脱出了他们抢劫黑帮运钞车的内幕，使得Vic的家人遭到亚美尼亚黑帮追杀；自己也面临的最终委员会的审查，职位不保。却发现了最后一颗救命稻草，墨西哥黑帮势力的入侵使得Vic和Aceveda再次走到一起，并意外获得了一箱子墨西哥黑帮控制的公司Pezuela收集的法明顿地区高级干部的内幕。新的一季中，Vic与墨西哥黑帮Pezuela公司是主要的焦点；还有如何处理和shane的关系，亚美尼亚黑帮仍然没有得到解决；Vic重新回归警队，还会有那几个队员？不知老冤家Forest Whitaker扮演的检察官是否这季会回归？Dutch与Danielle会好上吗？等等各种矛盾纠结。

本剧故事发生在一家乡村俱乐部里，是网球版《疯狂高尔夫》（Caddyshack）。1985年夏天，20出头的年轻人David Myers在位于新泽西州的犹太红橡树乡村俱乐部里谋得一份职业网球助理的工作，他试图通过这份工作来确定自己究竟想要怎样的生活。Richard Kind扮演David的父亲Sam Myers，他一直希望儿子能成为一名会计师。在一次心脏病发作之后，Sam确信自己不久于人世，于是将一些惊人的秘密告诉了David。从此以后，这对父子的关系变得十分尴尬。

These skilled investigators, who see New York City in a whole different light, follow the evidence as they piece together clues and eliminate doubt to ultimately crack their cases.
